The Publication

About Façinations

The editorial publication of the Aix-Dale ecosystem — dedicated to art, provenance, science, and civilization.

Editorial Mission

The Charter

Façinations Magazine is the editorial publication of the Aix-Dale ecosystem, dedicated to the convergence of art, provenance, science, artificial intelligence, technology, and civilization. It publishes original reporting, investigative journalism, scholarly essays, interviews, commentary, and visual features.

Our editorial philosophy holds that every significant work of art exists within a broader network of history, science, economics, philosophy, and human endeavour. By bringing these disciplines together, the magazine offers a deeper understanding of authenticity, ownership, innovation, and civilization itself.

The publication serves collectors, museums, galleries, researchers, conservators, universities, institutions, family offices, investors, technologists, and intellectually curious readers worldwide.

Editorial Principles

Five
I

Authority

Research-driven journalism supported by evidence and expert insight.

II

Integrity

Editorial independence with transparent sourcing and rigorous fact-checking.

III

Curiosity

A willingness to investigate difficult questions across disciplines.

IV

Beauty

Elegant design and exceptional visual presentation worthy of the subject matter.

V

Civilization

Art, science, and culture as inseparable expressions of human progress.

Standard

Depth over speed

Context over speculation. Clarity over sensationalism. Enduring value over the news cycle.

Twin Editions

Publishing rhythm

Façinations publishes twin editions each month — one English, one French — released together at the same address. Neither is a translation issued later than the other: they are a single issue in two languages, carrying the same features, the same catalogue numbers, and the same serial installment of The Leaf / La Feuille.

Readers may move between the two at any point from the language link in the header of every page. The quarterly print edition is likewise produced in both languages.

Sourcing & Credit

Policy

Façinations credits its sources in full. Press material is cited, never reproduced. Photography is original or licensed. Oral histories are recorded with the consent of the speakers and archived with the partner institution where one exists.

Profiles and features are editorially independent. The magazine does not publish sponsored coverage presented as journalism.
